Open-air museum in the heart of Slovácko
Welcome to the centre of Slovácko district on the hill above the town of Uherské Hradiště, to the country of folk songs, wine and slivovice, the horse riders of The Ride of the Kings, Slovácko verbuňk dancers, to the country of handicraft masters and other common people who are united in their respect for tradition. Please, come and join us in our way against the stream of time, let us look into the dwellings of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers. You get the most beautiful view of Uherské Hradiště and its surroundings. Nature is as close as it gets. Besides, this is the place where you can get acquainted with the traditions of the district you have just visited.

Just go outside the town and you find yourself in a place full of interesting surprises. You are still in Uherské Hradiště – Mařatice but at the same time the environment takes you back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Welcome to the folk architecture skansen of Uherské Hradiště district which is part of Park Rochus.
